This page of IGN's Mass Effect: Legendary Edition guide collates all the Patch Notes for the various patches of the game.
Patch 1.03 (08-06-2021)
- General / All Games:
- English spoken dialogue can now be selected separately from the subtitle language.
- Resolved issues with unlocking some Achievements / Trophies, such as the Paramours or the Kill Count trackers.
- Corrected pre-rendered cutscenes that became darker than intended after the 1.02 update.
- Wireless headsets / devices no longer cause issues with the Xbox launcher.
- Improved PC performance across various hardware configurations, including on Virmire.
- Fixed an issue on PC where non-standard characters in the operating systems' username would prevent the game from launching.
- Removed the dependency on the AVX instruction set in the launcher.
- Other minor calibrations and fixes, including some instances of crashing.
- Mass Effect 1:
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from reaching the max level.
- Fixed in issue where the Tier VII Spectre - Master Gear was inaccessible.
- Various collision improvements.
- Fixed an issue that would prevent the ability to interact with object, which commonly occurred shortly after exiting the Mako.
- Lowered the audio volume on the Mass Relay load screens.
- Improved the eye animations for male characters in some scenes.
- Mass Effect 2:
- Toned down the intensity of the fog on Ilium.
- Fixed an issue where a character's eyes at the end of the Overlord DLC were unintentionally red.
- Reduced the max credits that can be carried from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2 down to 100k, for more balanced early-game progression.
- The credit carryover maximum now matches the carryover from the original release. You still get the +200,000 credits for starting a new game after completing Mass Effect 2 before.
- Mass Effect 3:
- Resolved an issue where English dialogue no longer played during the Citadel DLC for German and Italian localizations.
- Fixed an issue where some key characters weren't appearing as intended during the Citadel DLC.

Patch 1.02 (17-05-2021)
- General / All Games:
- Fixed an issue on Xbox Series X where the launcher would crash or become unresponsive when using a wireless headset.
- This can still happen if you enable or disable a headset in the launcher. A future fix will resolve this issue.
- Improved iris shader across all three games for better interaction with light and ambient occlusion. They are now clearer, more distinct and easier to see than in Patch 1.01.
- The bump mapping for skin textures isn't as harsh, making the skin look smoother compared to Patch 1.01.
- Most of the new render-to-texture reflections now render at 60fps in Quality Mode (this may depend on your specific platform).
- Minor calibrations, fixes and stability improvements.
- Fixed an issue on Xbox Series X where the launcher would crash or become unresponsive when using a wireless headset.
- Mass Effect 1:
- Improved terrain textures.
- Fixed an issue where kills for Achievements/Trophies weren't tracking correctly.
- The Decryption minigame for optional doors and loot objects now correctly locks you out of trying it again should you fail the minigame.
- Mass Effect 1 and 2:
- Resolved an issue with the character code sometimes not displaying in the Squad Menu.
- Improvements to pre-rendered video playback to reduce occasional artifacts.
- Mass Effect 2:
- Improved lighting and shadows in some cinematics.
- Minor visual, rendering and VFX improvements in some levels.
- Adjusted HDR tone mapping.
- Resolved minor text issues with achievements.
- Mass Effect 3:
- Stability improvements.
- Fixed an issue where kills for Achievements/Trophies weren't tracking correctly.
Patch 1.01 (30-04-2021)
- Improved performance.
- Improved stability and fixes crashes.
- Improvements to Ambient Occlusion.
- Lighting improvements, both visual and performance-related.
- Miscellaneous content fixes.
