Lorestangir Locations

Lorestangir are one of two collectible types in Hellblade 2, with the other being Hidden Faces. Lorestangir are tall posts surrounded by glowing auras and symbols that make them stand out. There are 18 Lorestangir to collect in Hellblade 2, and this guide will show you where to find them all.

If you take a closer look at the Lorestangir, you can see that there are 18 symbols etched into the posts vertically – one for each Lorestangir in the game. As you collect them, the symbols will turn red, from top to bottom, to help track your progress. The glowing, floating symbols in front of the posts will also turn red.

Reykjanesta

There’s only one Lorestangir in Reykjanesta (or Reykjanestá), and it’s hard to miss. It appears soon after Senua points out the symbol on the lone Northman flag near some rubble early in the level. Use Senua’s focus ability on the giant floating symbol in front of the Lorestangir post to unlock your first collectible.

Freyslaug

Freyslaug Lorestangir 1

There are four Lorestangir in Freyslaug, so there’s a bit more to look out for here. The first one is found right at the beginning of the chapter. Walk over to the right, near the two homes, to find the first Lorestangir.

Freyslaug Lorestangir 2

The second Lorestangir comes after you obtain Senua’s mirror and survive the big combat sequence in the ravaged encampment. When you finally cross the bridge and go through the large house on the other side, immediately turn left.

Follow the path that leads back toward the bridge, in the direction you came from. Then, interact with the fallen debris circled in the image below to find the Lorestangir.

Freyslaug Lorestangir 3

The third Lorestangir comes shortly after finding the previous one. After a couple of cutscenes, Senua is sneaking around a draugar camp trying to find her way down to a man she wants to help. Take a left when the path branches to find a ladder. Climb the ladder to get to the third Lorestangir.

Freyslaug Lorestangir 4

The fourth and final Lorestangir in Freyslaug can be found after Senua rescues the stranger named Fargrimr from the draugar ritual area. Follow him past a broken bridge to a fork in the road. Take the path on the left to find the fourth Lorestangir.

This is the final collectible in Freyslaug, so you can finish up the chapter without having to worry about any other secrets, including Hidden Faces.

Raudholar

Raudholar Lorestangir 1

Raudholar (or Rau?hólar) is the third chapter in Hellblade 2, and it contains six Lorestangir. The first one is found next to the first Hidden Face. As soon as you reach the large crack in the ground at the very beginning of the chapter, head left. There, you’ll find a face with the Lorestangir to the right of it.

Raudholar Lorestangir 2

The second Lorestangir can be collected right after Senua escapes the trial of darkness in her mind. After Fargrimr tells Senua about the Hiddenfolk, turn around and walk past his tent. Make a leftward loop to find the Lorestangir at the top of the hill.

Raudholar Lorestangir 3

The third Lorestangir comes right after the fourth Hidden Face in this chapter. After you complete the first Hiddenfolk puzzle, walk down the path and turn left when it branches. Climb a short, chalk-covered ledge and shimmy through a small opening to reach this collectible.

Raudholar Lorestangir 4

The fourth Lorestangir shows up right after the fifth Hidden Face in Raudholar. Follow the main path after solving the second Hiddenfolk puzzle, then make a left when possible. Shimmy through a narrow pass to reach the Lorestangir sitting on a small hill.

Raudholar Lorestangir 5

The fifth Lorestangir can be collected immediately after the fourth one. The main path branches to the right soon after the left you took to reach the fourth Lorestangir. Crouch through the short tunnel to reach the collectible.

Raudholar Lorestangir 6

The sixth and final Lorestangir in Raudholar can be found during the third Hiddenfolk puzzle. Look to your left once you reach the third round stone pedestal, and focus on the upside-down Lorestangir to collect it, even though it’s in the ceiling.

This is the final collectible in Raudholar, so there’s nothing more to look out for as you progress through the rest of the chapter.

Huldufolk

Huldufolk Lorestangir 1

The fourth chapter in Hellbalde 2 contains three Lorestangir, and the first one can be found soon after the first Hidden Face. Turn right immediately after dropping down a high ledge into a shallow pool of water, then climb a chalk-covered ledge to reach the collectible. The image below shows the view from the high ledge.

Huldufolk Lorestangir 2

The second Lorestangir appears shortly after the blue mist puzzle involving running water and two regular torches. Watch for when the right side of the cave opens up, then drop down in the spot shown below to find the Lorestangir to your right.

Huldufolk Lorestangir 3

The third and final Lorestangir in this chapter comes after the fourth Hidden Face. After you pass through the area with all the floating rocks, there’s a dead end that’s hiding a right turn. Take the path on the right to find this collectible.

This is the last collectible in Huldufolk, so you can relax and finish the chapter without looking for more hidden secrets or pathways.

Bardarvik

Bardarvik Lorestangir 1

There are four Lorestangir in Bardarvik (or Bár?arvík), and the first one appears directly above the first Hidden Face. It’s sitting above a waterfall on the right side of the path.

Bardarvik Lorestangir 2

The second Lorestangir appears during your first walk with Astridr. It’s at the edge of an open field, and you need to walk through a narrow path to your right to reach it.

Bardarvik Lorestangir 3

The third Lorestangir can be found during the second shape puzzle in this chapter. Make your way to the right side of the beach by using the large, floating bubble to clear a path. Then, shimmy through the narrow path circled in the image below to find the path to the Lorestangir.

Bardarvik Lorestangir 4

The fourth Lorestangir comes after the underwater section where you learn about the sea giant’s past. Follow the torches through the village, then turn left when the path branches. Walk up the hill and look to your left to find the final Lorestangir.

This is the 18th Lorestangir in Hellbalde 2, meaning you no longer have to look for any other posts on your way to finishing the game. Collecting all 18 Lorestangir unlocks new features in the Extras section of the main menu, including new narration options for future playthroughs.
