Hades
Hades will have you pummeling through the underworld for a chance to escape, but aside from enemies, a number of bosses will do anything on their disposal to prevent you from achieving that goal.
These guides will help you navigate boss fights on a step by step basis, in order to become as best prepared as possible to face them over and over again.

Types of Attacks
First phase:
- Hades will swing his axe in quick succession, this is sometimes done with one or two follow up attacks, and always cover a big area around him
- He can also dash forward using the spear, a movement he will repeat often
- Hades summons flying skulls that, if hit, cause Blood Boil. If not, they will stand in place for a couple of seconds. If they're not destroyed before the timer runs out, they will explode, causing a shockwave that covers a wide area around it
- During at least two times he will summon a shield around him and enemies will appear, occasionally with armor and similar to the ones you've seen in Elysium and Tartarus
Second phase:
- You can expect many more skulls from Hades, usually shot in quick succession now
- He will summon jars around the map that, if destroyed when Zagreus is close enough to them, he will get stunned
- Hades will also have laser beams that cover pretty much the entire arena, first being only three of them and then becoming multiple beams at the same time
- He will continue to fight using his spear, now on a faster manner
Rewards
Depending on your current Heat level, you can obtain either Titan Blood or Darkness.
Hades Strategy
This is the toughest boss fight in the game, and for good reason - Hades has two phases, meaning that you will have to deplete his entire health bar twice, instead of seeing an increase or variety of attacks when he's at 50% HP, such as the previous bosses.
He will use his axe constantly, and you can tell whenever he's about to do a swing with a visual aid indicating it. If you're close, get ready to dash either away or across him, and prepare for at least two attacks. At times, he will also dash towards Zagreus, dealing significant damage and getting close enough to follow up with more attacks. He's a relentless and fast enemy, and that nature follows him throughout the entire encounter.
At least twice during the first phrase, he will become impervious to damage and summon enemies in the arena to aid him. These usually have armor, which is incredibly annoying, and Hades will continue to attack in the meantime. It's likely that he will throw more skulls, too. These seem harmless, but the shockwave they throw travels wide and fast, and can take a good chunk out of your health.

If you know you won't be able to destroy skulls in time, then stay your ground and prepare to dodge, don't bother going to them as they will likely explode and hit you almost automatically.
For the last phase, you have to be particularly wary of the jars he will summon. Once these are broken Zagreus will be stuck in place stunned - in addition, their explosions cover a wider area than just where the object is, so be mindful of this. If you have any range attacks make sure to test them around and learn to make yourself enough space between them. Hades' spear can also break them, so you can use that on your advantage.
Lastly, the laser beams are really scary, but that's what the two circle-shaped structures are there for. As soon as you see Hades spinning his spear on his hands standing in place, that means he's about to do that attack, so just get behind one of them and you'll be safe.
