Ranking is a measure of experience in GTA Online. Ranking is increased through participation in Jobs and through success in Free Play activities.

After every Job, a player's Ranking bar is increased with a points reward based on his or her degree of success. Higher Ranking unlocks access to better Weapons, Vehicles, and Armor.

Rankings are divided into ten named Tiers.

1. Thug
2. Hustler
3. Soldier
4. Trigger
5. Enforcer
6. Facilitator
7. Public Enemy
8. Shot Caller
9. Street Boss
10. Kingpin

These Rank Tiers may be replaced with custom names within a Crew.
