Extended Magazines are Weapon Customizations in GTA 5. They extend the ammunition capacity of a firearm. Extended magazines vastly expand the usefulness of certain Weapons, especially the Assault Shotgun.

The Assault Rifle, Carbine Rifle, Assault SMG, and Advanced Rifle have 30 rounds per magazine by default. Extended Clip increases this to 60 rounds.

The Assault Shotgun has 8 rounds by default;Extended Clip increases this to 30 shells.

The Micro SMG has 16 rounds in a magazine by default. Extended Cllp gives 30 instead.
