Wights
A wight is a corpse reanimated by?White Walker?magic to serve their purposes. People and animals who perish north of the Wall will return as wights just hours or days after death, even if their body is brought south.?
Wights can be human or animal, and have been seen in a wildly varying states of decay, including almost completely skeletal. Once brought back, wights will no longer rot, and the color of their eyes turn blue.
After being raised from the dead, wights will show some rudimentary intelligence, but will no longer be able to speak. It is currently unknown how the White Walkers issue commands to them.
Wights are extremely resiliant, and are unaffected by cold, exposure, or pain. They are also fairly resistant to injuries, and will continue to fight even after dismemberment. The only certain way to kill a wight is to burn it, and fittingly, they are extremely flammable.
Human, children of the forest, and giant wights make up the bulk of the White Walkers' army, while reanimated horses are used as their mounts.?
The White Walkers have on at least one occassion also reaanimated a bear and one of Daenerys Targaryen's slain dragons.
