Robb Stark
Robb Stark, played by actor Richard Madden, was the eldest son of Eddard Stark and Catelyn Stark. Following his father's death, he became Lord of?Winterfell, and later perished during the War of the Five Kings.
Robb was similar to his father in that he puts honor and duty before all else. He was frequently seen with his direwolf Grey Wind, who was discovered with five other pups outside of Winterfell, and also?maintained a close relationship with his kin and bastard brother,?Jon Snow.
Lord of Winterfell
When Eddard was named Hand of the King to Robert Baratheon, Robb remained in Winterfell to rule in his stead. During an outing with his brother Bran, Robb fought off a group of widlings who had attacked Bran, taking one prisoner.
Soon after, Robb learned that Eddard had been taken prisoner in King's Landing and accused of treason. In response, Robb called his banners and marched south to Riverrun with the goal of freeing his father and defending the riverlands, which had become the target of raids led by Ser Gregor Clegane.
Robb split his forces, sending 2,000 men with Roose Bolton to engage Tywin Lannister's army, while taking his remaining troops across the Twins to fight Jaime Lannister. In order to cross the Twins, Robb and Catelyn formed an agreement with Walder Frey in which Robb must marry a daughter of his choosing upon the end of the war.
Following this, Robb ambushed the forces of Jaime Lannister, smashing his forces and taking him captive at the Battle of the Whispering Wood.
The King in the North
Soon after, Robb received word that Eddard had been executed in King's Landing. While debating whether to support Stannis or Renly Baratheon's claims to the throne, the northern lords rallied around Robb and declared him "King in the North."
Robb continued his campaign, winning several victories. To bolster his forces, he sent Theon Greyjoy to ask his father, Balon Greyjoy, to join the Stark cause, and Catelyn Stark to meet with Renly Baratheon.
At the Battle of Oxcross, Robb won another significant victory, and met a woman tending to the wounded named Talisa Maegyr. The two soon fall in love.
Soon after, Robb learned that Theon had betrayed them and attacked Winterfell. In retaliation, he allows Ramsay Snow, the bastard son of the Stark bannerman Roose Bolton, to retake the castle.
The Red Wedding
Despite many early victories, Robb's campaign began to falter. His mother, Catelyn Stark, released Jaime Lannister from captivity, hoping it would secure the return of her two daughters in King's Landing. Further south, the Lannisters won a major battle against Stannis Baratheon, leaving them able to devote all of their resources to fighting House Stark.
Compounding matters, Robb lost the support of House Karstark, and a marriage with Talisa threatened his relationship with House Frey.
Lacking a large enough army to continue the war, Robb is forced to find a way to win back the support of the Freys, and negotiates a marriage proposal with his uncle, Edmure Tully.
Robb attended the wedding at the Twins to make his apologies in person, but at the festivities, the Starks and their bannermen were betrayed and ambushed. Robb himself was shot several times with a crossbow, before being stabbed in the heart by Roose Bolton.
Afterwards, Robb's body was paraded around the castle, his head replaced by his direwolf's.
