Ice is the ancestral Valyrian steel sword of House Stark.

It was in the possession of House Stark for over four hundred years, kept in a scabbard made from wolf pelt.

The most recent owner of the sword was Eddard Stark, who had inherited it from his father, Rickard Stark. Following Ned's death, Ice fell into the possession of Tywin Lannister, who melted it down to craft two new swords, Widow's Wail and Oathkeeper.

Widow's Wail was gifted to Joffrey Baratheon, while Oathkeeper went to Jaime Lannister.
