The Viper is one of two new jobs being added in Final Fantasy XIV's latest expansion, Dawntrail. This job is a Melee DPS class, and uses a pair of blades and quick moves to cut down their foes. This guide contains all the information you need to unlock the job class, including where to find the unlock quest and any additional requirements.

To unlock the Viper Job, players must:

• reach Level 80 with another Combat Class/Job, and
• own the Dawntrail expansion

Once they've fulfilled both requirements, they can head to Ul'dah's Steps of Nald to speak with an NPC named Worried Weaver - located at (X:9.3 Y:9.2).

From them, players can receive a quest called Enter the Viper, which tasks them with handling a man who calls himself a Viper. The Viper, whose name is Keshkwa can be found outside the Weaver's Guild in the Steps of Thal (X:13.0 Y:12.2).

After helping to resolve some confusion regarding commerce, you'll need to follow Keshkwa to Camp Drybone in Eastern Thanalan, and speak to him again (X:13.3 Y:23.8).

After a stunning display of his abilities, he'll bring you back to Ul'dah, so head back to the Weaver's Guild and speak to Keshkwa to complete the quest. You'll receive a Viper weapon, Soul Crystal and a coffer of gear.
