Final Fantasy XIV's new expansion, Dawntrail, has released. With it comes a bevy of content, including new mounts. One such mount, the Oppressor, resembles an old foe, so it would make a great addition to any player's collection. This guide contains all the info you need to unlock the new Oppressor mount, including where to redeem it once you've satisfied the requirements.

How Do You Unlock the Oppressor Mount in Dawntrail?

In order to add this mount to your collection, you need to increase your PvP Series Level to 25. This rank resets with each season of PvP, so if you made any progress before the release of Dawntrail, you'll be starting from scratch.

Once you've reached Rank 25, open the Character Menu, then choose PvP Profile. Near the top of this screen will be a button labeled Series Malmstones.

Clicking on it will reveal your progress through the current season, and clicking on any prizes you've earned will add them to your inventory, including the Oppressor Identification Key which you can use to unlock the PvP Mount.

How Do You Level Up PvP Series Level?

Naturally, in order to level your PvP Series Level, you need to play PvP. This includes Crystalline Conflict (ranked or casual matches), Frontline, and Rival Wings. You can also queue for a daily Frontline Roulette which grants a once-a-day bonus of 1500 Series EXP. Reaching level 25 will take some time, but if you utilize this daily bonus everyday you can reach it without much more effort. Of course, if you really want to unlock the mount sooner you can simply grind your PvP game mode of choice.
