There aren't many difficult quests in Final Fantasy XIV, but there's one quest that players are having difficulty with in Dawntrail. Leafing Through the Past is a Main Scenario Quest that tasks players with looking around and answering some questions, but it's been throwing some for a loop.

In the last zone of Dawntrail, players are tasked with how attentively they've been paying attention to the story. While many players read everything, some either don't like to read quite as much, or they don't completely retain the information. Whether you are the former or the latter, the answers you need to complete the quest are below.

Leafing Through the Past Braziers

In Aysle Volcane, which is the area in Living Memory with the giant volcano in it, players will come across a bit of a history quiz. You'll learn about the Millala, a race similar to that of the Lalafell in Eorzea, and then you'll be tasked with choosing the correct braziers to light in order to complete the quest.

On each brazier is some information. You'll need to find the braziers that contain the correct information on them and light them in order to satisfy the requirements. If you want to figure this out on your own, read the information and choose the statements that align with what the guide has told you. But if you don't remember or need a little help, the two braziers you need to light are:

• The Brazier of Eternal Summer
• The Brazier of Calculations

Leafing Through the Past Masks Answer

Once you light the braziers and continue the quest, you're not quite done being quizzed on your knowledge. The Mechanical Guide will lead you into a room with lit up masks on the walls. He'll ask you how many different types of masks there are. To figure this out, look at the faces on the masks, and determine how many are a unique design.

Obviously, there are more masks than designs, so you'll need to make sure you don't double count one. If you're still having a little trouble, the answer is four.

After you answer that, you'll be able to finish the quest without having to recall your knowledge. Then, you'll be one step closer to the end of the Dawntrail MSQ.
