Along with a new graphical update that might have made your character look a little different in Final Fantasy XIV's Dawntrail, a new female Hrothgar race has been added. To celebrate the new look and the new playable race, FFXIV developers added a quest that grants a free Phial of Fantasia.

It isn't difficult to get this free Fantasia and you don't even need Dawntrail to get it. Players only need to be level 17 or higher and have access to Ul'dah in order to take the quest. Whether you want to see what kind of adjustments you can make to your current character after the new graphical update or you want to try out the new Hrothgal, here's how to get the free Phial of Fantasia in FFXIV.

To locate the quest giver, head to Ul'dah - The Steps of Thal and look for the Medicine Merchant NPC at X: 13.4. Y: 9.2. You'll find them just north of the Sapphire Avenue Exchange Aethernet Shard. Look for the blue quest marker, and you should easily be able to locate the "Bottled Fantasy" quest.

Even though he might look a little on the ambiguous side, what's a little danger when the outcome is a free Fantasia? Follow the man's orders and when you return to him, he'll have a free Phial of Fantasia for you to use. These little blue bottles typically cost about $10, so getting a free one is a big deal. It is advised to wait until you're sure about your decision to use it.

After you've collected the free Fantasia, all you need to do is rid yourself of all of your clothes and then use the item in your inventory. With the new process for using a Fantasia, you'll now have 60 minutes to make changes to your character to ensure you love the way they look. Now that you've got so much time to make sure your character is perfect, hopefully you won't need an extra one to change your Warrior of Light anytime soon.
