Final Fantasy XIV's new expansion, Dawntrail, is here. With it comes a bevy of content, including new mounts. One such mount, the Chocorpokkur, can be earned for free without much in-game effort, making it a great addition to any player's collection. This guide contains all the info you need to unlock the Chocorpokkur mount in FFXIV, including where to redeem it once you've satisfied the requirements.

How to Unlock the Chocorpokkur Mount in FFXIV

To add the Chocorpokkur mount to your FFXIV collection, you need to watch at least six hours of Final Fantasy XIV streams while logged into Twitch.tv. There are three prizes to earn, including Aetheryte Tickets and food that grants +4% experience instead of the usual +3%.

Your real prize, though, is the adorable Chocorpokkur mount. While the promotional pages for this event claim the channel needs to have the "Viewer Rewards" tag, in our experience, any channel in the Final Fantasy XIV category will work.

You can click the dropdown menu in the top right corner to ensure you're making progress. The option "Drops & Rewards" will be expanded to show your progress through your current step of the event. You may also see an alert in the chat that lets you know you're in an eligible channel.

You don't necessarily have to be actively watching the stream or even have volume playing, but the stream should be playing, even if it's just in the background.

Also, if you're trying to avoid spoilers for Dawntrail (or any content, since this event is available to all Final Fantasy XIV players) be sure to read the streams' titles, since they'll typically indicate where they are in the story.

Once you've watched enough Final Fantasy XIV (it may be a little more than six hours since the tracking isn't perfect), go to your Drops & Rewards page.

Scroll to the bottom to find your prizes ready to redeem, and click the Chocorpokkur mount reward to get your code.

How to Redeem FFXIV Chocorpokkur Mount Code

Now that you have the Chocorpokkur mount code, follow the steps below to redeem it in FFXIV:

1. Copy the Chocorpokkur mount code from your Twitch rewards.
2. Click the Redeem button to go to the FFXIV Mog Station.
3. Log in and click on Enter Item Code to go to a screen with five text boxes. You can paste the code here, and it will automatically fill in the necessary spots.
4. Click Next to pick the character on your account who will receive the mount.
5. Once that's done, you'll receive an in-game letter with a flute that adds the Chocorpokkur mount to your FFXIV account.
6. Visit a Delivery Moogle in-game to claim the Chocorpokkur Whistle.
7. Click on the Chocorpokkur Whistle in your inventory and select "Use" to unlock the Chocorpokkur mount in FFXIV.
