Final Fantasy XIV's new expansion, Dawntrail, has released. With it comes a bevy of content, including new mounts. One mount of note is the Alpaca, which plays a prominent role early in Dawntrail's Main Scenario Quests. This guide contains all the info you need to add the Alpaca to your collection.

How Do You Unlock the Alpaca Mount in Dawntrail?

In order to add this mount to your collection, you simply need to beat Dawntrail's story! This is a task easier said than done, with 100 new quests to play through. Once you've traveled across the six new zones and completed various dungeons and trials along the way, you'll reach the final quest, appropriately named Dawntrail. When you've completed this quest, you'll receive an Orchestrion Roll for the song Smile but more importantly you'll receive an Alpaca Whistle! This consumable adds the furry, long-necked creature to your Mount collection, allowing you to gallop or fly across the lands of Tural.
