Totalimmortal Walkthrough
Starting off exactly where Last Caress ended, follow Hanako as she leads you through Arasaka Tower - a familiar site that you once explored with Johnny Silverhand - as she leads you to Saburo Arasaka's office.
Along the way, V will begin questioning Hanako's lack of plan, as she simply wants V to tell her side of the story to the board, hoping that they give her the time of day to explain what she had seen.
As you reach Saburo Arasaka's office, speak with Hanako and listen as she questions whether the faction leaders have remained loyal to the Arasaka values - hoping they have the courage to admit to their mistake.
Once the conversation has entered, follow Hanako as she leads you to a secret room.
Here, Hanako will reveal a rather shocking secret regarding her father. Without delving too far into spoilers, V will eventually be given the option to speak with a special somebody. To learn more, click the spoiler tag below.
Your choices through this entire scene with Hanako will have no effect on the story outcome.
Following Hanako to the nearby elevator, continue to the Atrium. Here, you will meet with an unsuspected figure - Oda, the same Oda that attempted to kill you during the Gimme Danger Main Job.Receiving a stern warning from Hanako, Oda agrees to play nice and will ultimately protect V should anything go haywire. Before continuing to the board meeting, Takemura will confirm that Hanako's forces aren't as high as they would like, revealing that despite the money, many are still fighting for Yorinobu.
With no other options, follow Hanako as she leads you to the board meeting. Along the way, V reveals to Takemura their conversation with Saburo's construct - which leaves Takemura somewhat shocked and surprised by the revelation, as Saburo had never revealed that he had copied himself to a construct prior to his death.Once you arrive at the board meeting, Hanako warns V to keep their weapon at hand and to trust her no matter what happens, as it won't be long until Yorinobu and his men arrive at the meeting. Once you're ready to continue, follow Hanako to the nearby table in order to proceed with the mission.
Give Your Testimony
As Hanako arrives at the table, she will be informed that Yorinobu will be running late and that he had wanted the board to start the meeting without him.Despite some initial disagreements, Hanako will reveal that she wants to speak with the board regarding the removal of Yorinobu as CEO of Arasaka. Taken back by the reveal of her father's true murder, Hanako will pass it over to you.
Your dialogue choices during this particular scene will have no affect on the ending, so choose as you please.
Revealing to the board your true, first hand encounter as the only eyewitness of the event, the board will - to no surprise - question V's reliability, stating that it's no more than just a serious accusation.Prepared for such an answer to arise, Hanako will place Saburo Arasaka's construct on the table. Here, he will appear as a hologram and he will address the board as he appears on the table as a hologram. During this scene, Saburo will sharing the true events that took place that unfortunate day.
Convincing the board to follow Hanako, she will ask for any objections once he leaves. Before anything can be said, the AI will sound over the Atrium, initiating "Hayabusa" protocol as intruders have been spotted.Following the warning, Yorinobu's soldiers can be seen approaching the board meeting in the distance and will open fire upon the table once they're in range.
Fend Off The Attackers
With half the board killed in a matter of seconds, it's now time to fend off the incoming attackers. It is worth noting that these enemies are very powerful and we highly recommend that you use this time to quickly check and ensure that you are appropriately prepared with all the necessary gear and weapons.Using the table and nearby railings as cover, kill the first incoming wave of attackers. During our playthrough, we used Panam's Overwatch Sniper Rifle to quickly take out the 6 incoming soldiers.
Talk to Hanako
Having taken care of the attackers, return to Hanako by the board room table, where she will confess her surprise and shock at the lengths at which her brother is will go to.Provided with your very own team of soldiers, Hanako asks you to help take control of Arasaka Tower and to capture Yorinobu, while ensuring that he is not harmed in the process.
Take the Elevator to the Upper Atrium
Ready to continue, follow the waypoint marker as you retrace your steps back to the elevator in which you arrived in.As you round the first corner, you'll be greeted with Mech. Using your best weapons, aim for the Mech's weakest points - its head, and its arms. Having dealt with the Mech, continue following the path and defeat the incoming the two incoming melee soldiers - these two soldiers are extremely dangerous should you be caught by one of their attacks. It's highly recommended to remain at a distance at all times while fighting them - using the classic back up and dodge strategy works a real charm. With the melee soldiers defeated, you'll encounter even more Arasaka troops coming in from the forest. At this point, we recommend simply making a break for the elevator, as the path will now be free of any soldiers.Once you reach the elevator, head inside and make your way to the Upper Atrium.
This is where things can get tricky as there are multiple paths in which you can choose. Should you have saved Takemura during the Main Job, Search and Destroy, he will offer V his assistance and will provide several support troops that will help make this mission slightly easier.During the conversation, Takemura will ask you how you would like to approach the situation:-
- "Yeah. Too late to play nice"
- This method will see the support troops rush into the area and open fire immediately upon Yorinobu's men.
- "No. Better to be sly and quiet."
- This method will see V and Takemura take a more stealth approach to the situation - with the added support troops in tow.
Should Takemura not be life in your playthrough, you will be given the same approach options, however you'll need to go it all by yourself.
Reach The Elevator - Guns Blazing Method
Ground Floor - Upper Atrium
Heading into the situation guns blazing, you'll encounter seven of Yorinobu's men and one Mech on the ground floor of the Upper Atrium. While the seven soldiers often move all about the area, you'll find that the Mech mainly sticks to the far left corner of the room. While it's entirely optionally, we found that defeating the Mech first, and from afar, will greatly reduce the stress of the situation.
As you near the elevator, you'll learn that it's currently out of order. In order to continue, you'll need to climb to the second floor of the Upper Atrium in order to use the elevator. To reach the next level, follow the waypoint to the far left corner of the room and you'll spot a stairwell - climb it.
First Floor - Upper Atrium
Upon climbing the stairwell, you'll encounter two patrolling guards at the top - take them out as quickly as possible. With those guards taken care of, defeat the three remaining soldiers that can be found directly opposite you.You may want to focus your attention on the netrunner first though, as they'll likely cause you some damage if you become overheated!
Once you have defeated all five of Yorinobu's men, follow the waypoint marker to far right corner of floor.
Upon near the opposite side of the floor, you'll be ambushed by an additional five soldiers that come running from the nearby set of stairs. As instructed by Takemura, retreat backwards and use the railings as cover as you slowly pick them off one by one. Given their close proximity to each other, a grenade would work wonders in this situation! Finally, having survived the ambush, continue up the stairwell.
Second Floor - Upper Atrium
Upon reaching the second floor of the Upper Atrium, V will encounter two melee soldiers. In similar fashion to earlier in the mission, use the same strategy as you back up and dodge any incoming attacks. Thankfully, with a high powered weapon, a few quick headshots should take them out with ease. With three soldiers left to deal with on the other side of the room, use the garden bed or railings to avoid their incoming fire. When it's safe to do so, pick them off one by one to avoid taking any unnecessary damage.
Having defeated all of the five enemies on the second floor of the Upper Atrium, follow the waypoint marked to the nearby elevator.
Following a call from Hanako, she will warn you to careful and will try to catch up with you as soon as she can. Once you're ready, interact with the control panel and head to the CEO floor.
Defeat Yorinobu's Forces
Using the sides of the door elevator door as cover, we managed to take these soldiers out with ease by blasting them with headshots from our Overwatch Sniper Rifle.Alternatively, using the likes of Frag Grenades would prove very helpful for this situation, as many of the soldiers were grouped in small areas.
Once you're ready to continue, open the doors marked by the waypoint in order to fight one of Yorinobu's most powerful soldiers, Adam Smasher.Known as Smasher, the famous mercenary that killed Johnny Silverhand, we highly recommend reading our Smasher guide below before taking him on, as we break down all of his core mechanics and list some of his biggest weaknesses that you can easily target and take advantage of.
How to Defeat Adam Smasher
When trying to infiltrate the bottom of Arasaka Tower, you'll encounter Adam Smasher, a large and heavily modified mercenary that's known for having defeated Johnny Silverhand.
It's important to mention that this is the final boss battle that you will encounter in Cyberpunk 2077's main storyline, so as you can imagine it's not going to be a super easy fight!

Adam Smasher's Weaknesses
To no surprise, Adam Smasher features a number of weaknesses that can change the way that the battle plays out, as these weaknesses can significantly altar your damage output.
Before the battle begins, we highly recommend that you change up your loadout to include the likes of Frag Grenades, Tech Weapons, and even chemical based weapons as they'll give you with a huge advantage during the battle.
Cyber Heart
- That's right, even Adam Smasher has a heart - a cyber heart at that. Found on the right side of his chest, Smasher's cybernetic heart is arguably his weakest spot and managing to successfully inflict damage onto this spot will result in significant damage being dealt. Unfortunately, you will need to destroy his front plate in order to get a good view of it - a great way to do this is a Tech weapon!
Chemical Damage
- Before entering the battle, it is worth double checking your weapons, as Adam Smasher is weak chemical damage, however resistance to electrical damage. If you're out of luck and don't happen to have any weapons that deal chemical damage, definitely consider switching to a Tech based weapon.
Tech Weapons
- Look no further than Tech based weapons when it comes to defeating Adam Smasher, as they have the advantage of being able to pierce through his front armor plate that is other relatively difficult to destroy. Another added advantage of Tech weapons is the fact that they have the ability to strike targets through walls or other positions of cover, making them ideal for defeating any incoming reinforcements that may make their way to the battlefield.
Frag Grenades
- Got some spare Frag Grenades? Consider equipping them, as they are perfect for dealing large amounts of damage, while also damaging his cyberwear.
Quickhacks
- Throughout the battle, you'll have the opportunity to launch several quickhacks upon Adam Smasher. Here are the best quickhacks to use:
- Weapon Malfunction
- Arguably one of the most helpful quickhacks available, the Weapon Malfuction quickhack allows you to reduce the efficiency of Adam Smasher's bullet storm attack during the first phase, which many will consider one of the more challenging aspects of his attack.
- Cyberware Malfunction
- Perfect those looking to take on the stealth path, the Cyberware Malfunction quickhack will cause Adam Smasher to take huge amounts of damage, so much so that it will often take you to a brand new phase. Now, it is important to note that this method does take quite of bit of time for the hack to eventually upload and activate. So, it may not be suitable for everyone!

Tips and Tricks for Defeating Adam Smasher's Three Phases
Whether you're looking to tips on how to avoid his bullet storm attack, melee combos, or even his missile rain, we have you covered in our complete Adam Smasher guide below.
Phase 1:
To start off the battle, Adam Smasher's first phase is very focused on performing melee combos, jump attacks, and a projectile attack that's know as the Bullet Storm.
As you'd expect, Adam Smasher is at his strongest during this phase, so it's important keep your distance as letting him get his hands on you will result in you taking quite a bit of damage.
With a heavy focus on melee combos, Smasher will likely be all up in your face during the majority of the first phase, however, you may be surprised at just how easy it can be to dodge his incoming attacks. To avoid taking melee damage, it's important that you begin backing up as soon as you see him charging in your direction. As he begins to swing his arms, evade the melee combo by spamming the dodge button as you continue to back up - this is the same technique that used to defeat Oda during Act 2, Gimme Danger.Dodging Smasher's jump attack is pretty straightforward, simply sprint away from your current location when you notice him jumping in the air - getting hit will knock you down.
Don't run too far though, as you'll want to take advantage of his kneeling composure once he lands, as he'll be rendered in a state where he can not attack for several seconds. As he begins to regain functions, you'll want to book it straight out of his melee range to avoid getting hit.
Lastly, we have Smasher's bullet storm attack, which is arguably one of his more annoying as it's rather challenging to dodge at times. In order to combat this attack, we found two very viable methods to be quite effective, as we found that using the dodge method mentioned earlier during his melee combo was a decent option should you lack the ability to get behind cover in time.
Alternatively, if you're quick and able to dodge Smasher's attacks fairly easily, we highly recommend using the area around the center of the room to your advantage. While you'll often be face-to-face with Smasher, you'll have the opportunity to use the pillars as cover.
As he launches his bullet storm attack, simply duck behind the cover of the pillar! Just be warned though, these pillars can take damage and you'll likely need to use a new pillar for each bullet storm attack that he launches.
Phase 2:
Phase 2 of Smasher's encounter is all about long-range! Having received significant damage to the right side of his body during phase 1, he will change up his tactics to account for his damaged body.
Similar to phase 1, Smasher will have three brand new attacks that include calls for Reinforcements, Missile Rain, and Fleeing Tactics.
When facing Smasher during phase 2, he'll frequently call for reinforcements that range from soldiers, heavy soldiers, and even mechs! It is highly recommended that during this phase that you focus most of your attention on taking out any reinforcements that can be found in the area. Taking out these forces as quickly as possible will be your best bet, but don't take your eyes off Smasher for too long, as his long-range attacks can still pack a real punch when caught off guard.Next up, we have Smasher's missile rain attack, which can be launched at anytime throughout the phase. The biggest tell-tale sign to this attack is the large circular red dots that will appear! Once you see these red dots on the floor, you will want to begin sprinting away from your current location! Don't be fooled though, this attack will follow you, so avoid stopping until you hear that the explosives have stopped. If you're caught by this particular attack, it could very well be game over as the explosions cause some hefty damage.Last but not least, the finally attack that Smasher can perform during this phase is as flee! That's right, after taking a certain amount of damage, Smasher will begin to run away. During this 'attack', you'll have the perfect opportunity to unload your bullets onto him.
Phase 3:
Having caused Smasher significant damage throughout phase 1 and phase 2, you'll learn that's he's really rough shape and will spend the majority of his time in the center of the room, firing off shots with his machine gun.Despite these shots becoming notably slower, we still found that it was best to stick to the second floor, as pillars and railings provided to great cover that allowed you to mainly remain damaged should you get your timing right between his shots. With the right weapon choice, it shouldn't take too many shoots to finish him off for good.Once you have defeated Smasher, you'll find him on his knees and will have the option to let him live or to take his life. This particular choice will have no effect on the story and is a choice that is left entirely up to you to decide.
How to Defeat Adam Smasher With Stealth
That's right, you'll be surprised to learn that Adam Smasher can actually be defeated purely by stealth!
As you'll be well aware, you are automatically thrown into combat with Adam Smasher at the beginning of the battle. But, this is where things can get a little tricky when trying to use the stealth method, as you'll need to spend quite a bit of time setting up the process that is needed to successfully kill Adam Smasher through stealth alone.
To get started, your main focus when starting out will be to escape his attention, which can be done by using the countless barriers and cover options all throughout the area.
Simply hiding won't be enough to draw his attention away though, as you'll also want to be using the likes of your quickhack options such as Reboot Optics and Distraction. These two quickhacks alone will significantly help aid you in drawing his attention away.
With Adam Smasher's attention finally drawn away, use your quickhacking abilities to distract him. Once distracted, sneak up behind him and perform a stealth takedown attack. After each attack, you will need to hide and drawn his attention away.
You will need to repeat this step on three separate occasions - once for each of his three phases - in order to successfully take him down using only stealth.
Confront Yorinobu
After defeating Adam Smasher once and for all, you will have the optional choice to decide Smasher's fate. Whether you choose to kill or spare Smasher is entirely up to you, as the decision will have no effect on the outcome of the final story.Having made your decision on Smasher, head up the nearby set of stairs and continue through the double door as you start making your way Yorinobu. As V approaches the door, the relic will begin malfunctioning once again, causing V to become unsteady on their feet. Fighting through the pain, head towards the final door that can be found at the end of the white, lengthy corridor.Upon reaching the door, it will open automatically, revealing Yorinobu slumped on the nearby floor - approach him in order to begin a cutscene.Struggling to stay standing, V will slowly sit, leaning alongside a turned over table as they watch over Yorinobu. Feeling sorry for himself, Yorinobu will begin speaking of fear, explaining to V how fear played a large part in his childhood, attempting to justify his actions towards his father. With no effect on how the story plays out, V is free to select any response that they see fit during this conversation. As the conversations continue to grow deeper, Hanako will finally appear and will begin to console her brother.Agreeing to honor her end of the deal, follow Hellman to the nearby elevator. When pressing the console to travel further below Arasaka Tower, V's status will become critical as the relic causes them to collapse and black out on the floor. As things reach breaking point, Hellman will patch V into Mikoshi - cue the end of the mission.
