How to Replay Car Races
Street racing is one of the most significant subcultures you can find within Cyberpunk 2077's Night City. Though only previously available as part of Claire's side job, V can now replay those car races and earn various rewards for winning them.
With over 50 vehicles available in Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty expansion, it's only natural that V should be able to use them for more than just traveling Night City. Below, you'll find out how to replay races in the game, including the rewards, where to find them, and how to pick which car you'd like to use for the race.

With the game's 2.1 Update, you'll find four Checkered Flag icons on your map indicating where you can participate in a street race. However, you can take part in these races only after completing Claire's The Beast in Me questline.
To start a race, make your way to the waiting spot and interact with it. Each race requires a $2000 buy-in, a relatively low price as you'll get $10,000 for winning first place, and a discount shard that you can use to reduce the cost of purchaseable vehicles on the AUTOFIXER web page.
The discount shard stacks—the first shard gives you a 24% discount and adds up to 100% if you have 12 total shards.
The four replayable races are as follows:
- City Center Race
- Badlands Race (Off-road)
- Santo Domingo Race
- Westbrook Race
Before you start a race, drive the last car you'd like to use before triggering the race at the waiting point. If you were riding a motorcycle last, the game automatically picks the car you last driven in.
The Quadra Type-66 "Javelina" is arguably the best car to use for all four races, considering all of its bonuses:
- AWD + All-terrain tires (Perfect for the Badlands Race)
- Tuned-up engine
- Mounted rifles + armored finish (Provide solid offense and defense against other racers)
- 1000 Horse Power (Fast enough to comfortably create a gap between you and other racers)
Once you've won the race, the objective marker will guide you to where you can pick up the AUTOFIXER discount shard.
