What Is an Outfit and What Does It Do in Cyberpunk 2077
There are two types of outfits in Cyberpunk 2077, the first one being the ones premade in the game already and the other type being the ones you make. The premade in-game outfits affect your stats and will remove whatever clothes you're currently wearing.
While on the other hand, the outfits you make won't affect your stats. You'll still be able to wear whatever gear you want and have all the bonuses, but it'll be disguised with the Outfit you picked out.
How to Create an Outfit
You'll need to visit any of V's apartments first to create an outfit. As you walk into their apartment, head to the closet and select Open Wardrobe.
You'll then be taken to the Wardrobe menu, where you can make six outfits and select clothing for your Head, Upper Body, and Lower Body.
Once you've created an outfit that you're happy with, all you need to do is close the menu, and your Outfit will be saved.
How to Change Your Outfit
You can change between outfits whenever you want in-game. To do so, all you need to do is bring up the menu and select Inventory.
When you're in the Inventory menu, you'll then want to select Outfit.
Once you're in the Outfit menu, you'll find Wardrobe Outfits on the top right and below that, Special Outfits. The special outfits will remove whatever you're currently wearing alongside the stats. In comparison, your Wardrobe Outfits won't affect you and will only cover what you're wearing.
To wear an Outfit you made, you must scroll to the hanger icon and select one. Once equipped, the outfit number and hanger icon will glow, and you'll see it highlighted in the Outfit section.
If you want to take off your Outfit, you must go to whichever one you're wearing and select it again. After you do that, the Outfit will be removed.
How to Change Your Appearance
There are two different ways to change V's appearance. For the first one, you'll need to go to the mirror in one of their apartments or safehouses and look in it.
When looking at the mirror, you'll want to select Change appearance.
You'll then be taken to a menu that allows you to fully recreate your character however you see fit.
The other way to change your Outfit is by visiting any Ripperdoc. As soon as you arrive at one, you'll want to select I want to change my appearance.
Afterward, you'll be able to change how you look.
