Dark Avatar of the Jaguar
In order to beat the Dark Avatar of the Jaguar, you need to be able to predict and respond to its 4 attacks, each of which it cycles between.
- Its main attack is a claw attack with several variants. It may strike one, two, or three times and each attack is a bit different. Each strike can be parried, but you need to parry each consecutive strike in order to weaken the Dark Avatar.
- A leap attack which also does area of effect damage that you can't parry, but can dodge.
- A slow flamethrower that shoots slow waves of fire in a cone. You can't parry this, but you can move out of the way and duck around it.
- A massive area of effect explosion centered around the Dark Avatar that you need to run away from as soon as it's telegraphed.
Your best bet is to dodge this Dark Avatar's attacks and find ways to continue to deal damage, especially when you're chased into the center square and the Dark Avatar is running around on the flaming plates. Ranged weapons are extremely useful here.
Dark Avatar of the Eagle
The Dark Avatar of the Eagle doesn't mess around. This boss is agile, tough, and ready to lay down the pain. It can pull a wide variety of attacks seemingly out of a hat and in random order, but almost all of them can be parried and all can be dodged.
- A rapid joust forward when you're far away.
- A jump backwards while it shoots wind in a cone in front of it.
- Two slashes from its sword, followed by another thrust from its sword shortly afterward.
- A spinning attack with its sword.
- A self-heal that can be countered by attacking it (it will attempt to counter-attack you in return with a random attack)
- Summoning tornadoes that move around the room and unleash an area of effect electricity attack.
The Dark Avatar of the Eagle can be relentless, so constantly maintain your stamina and be ready to dodge at any moment. Make sure to completely steer clear of the tornadoes that it summons, as those can quickly drain your health.
Dark Avatar of the Serpent
The Dark Avatar of the Serpent puts up less resistance than its colleagues in the Dark Avatar business, but is still a difficult fight if you aren't ready for it. There are three major attacks that you need to watch out for.

- An attack with its snake arm that is clearly telegraphed.
- A quick attack with its off-hand hammer right after it retracts its snake arm from a snake arm attack, that can leave you side-swiped if you don't parry or dodge quickly enough.
- An area of effect summoning spell that summons 3 Serpent Cultists and does damage to you if you're in range when it goes off.
Champion of Death
The final boss is the Champion of Death, Clovis Pardieux. This is also the hardest boss you will face, with many different kinds of attacks to deflect and two different phases to fight through.
Phase 1
- A series of very rapid area of effect spells.
- A massive beam that paralyzes you in place.
- At mid-health, he summons swarms of basic enemies that you have to fight and kill before the Champion of Death can take damage again.
- At low health, he summons Elite and higher-tier enemies that you have to kill until he can take damage again.
- Whenever you have a curse or sufficient Corruption to develop a curse, you can be crushed by a pillar that deals heavy damage but removes one curse. This can be dodged if you time it perfectly.
Phase 2
After killing the Champion of Death the first time, you're not finished! There's a whole second health bar to get through before you can finish him off. Here are the attacks to watch out for:
- When equipped with a sword and pistol, he shoots between 1-3 times then slashes 4 times and does an area of effect attack.
- When equipped with a battleaxe, he either spins around or slams the axe on the ground.
- When equipped with a claw and dagger, he'll slash 4 times with the dagger then attack rapidly with the claw.
- When equipped with the bow, he can shoot an arrow that runs its way through you several times or launch a volley at you.
- Whenever you have a curse or sufficient Corruption to develop a curse, you can be crushed by a pillar that deals heavy damage but removes one curse. This can be dodged if you time it perfectly.
