The Archive
The fourth episode of Battleborn's story mode is called The Archive. This mission doesn't favor a Battleborn with long range or melee attacks, but you will be doing a lot of defensive and escort objectives. It is best to include gear that reduces shard cost for buildables.
This mission seems to have a never ending supply of Thrall and Varelsi. If you're taking too much damage, you might need to run from battle for a short time to recover your shields and find some power ups in chests. An option is to play as Oscar Mike and use his stealth generator to hide for a few seconds. One of his helix upgrades will instantly charge his shields when he uses stealth generator. As you go through the mission, target the warp anchors so more Thrall don't come in.
The first thing you must do is activate Chronicle. Simply follow the way point to a bin with 600 rotating around it. You must deposit 600 shards here to bring out the sentinel. Use your mini-map to find a number of shard crystals throughout the map. Destroy these to get enough shards to activate Chronicle and build turret defenses when needed. Use them to activate gear as well, just make sure you keep collecting shards throughout the mission.
With Chronicle activated, you must escort it to the next objective point. Unfortunately, this sentry won't be upgradeable like the Wolf sentry from an earlier episode. Protect it as much as possible from the hordes of Thrall up ahead. If you get in trouble, build a turret and/or drone at the nearest node.
Once the Chronicle is in defensive mode at its objective point, your next objective will be to meet with Mellka. Follow the way point on the HUD or the green circle on the mini-map to find her. Mellka will send out M1. Data Couriers to Chronicle. You must escort 20 of them to Chronicle to complete the objective. Not only will these minions transfer data, but S1 Chronicle's health will increase as it accepts them.
The next objective is to escort Chronicle to Nova. This time you will have Mellka to help out. Head to the defense symbol on the mini-map in the south. Like usual, you will run into a number of Thrall and Varelsi. Try to get their quickly before the sentry's health is reduced. Again, if you're having trouble, don't forget to build some turrets and drones to aid in your team's defense. Just as you reach the end, a boss Varelsi will come into the battle.
Boss Battle: Bagranth the Gunhulk
Bagranth will generate a purple shield throughout the battle. You must spend 300 shards on special turrets in the area to break this shield. This is the only way to break the shield, so manage your shards wisely. Additionally, you can build a repair drone at the drone node to keep the turrets' health meters in top shape.
Once the shields are down, use everything you have to deal damage quickly. Bagranth will jump from spot to spot, making it tough to use some of the slower skills a few Battleborn have. Try to predict where it will be by the purple cloud overhead. Focus your attention on the boss, but if a smaller Varelsi come nearby, quickly take them out with a few hits / shots from your primary weapon. Defeat the boss and escort Chronicle onto the ship to clear the mission.
