Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech
Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech is an Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon mission that takes place in Chapter 3. The Planetary Closure Administration has deployed some LCs and a new HC, and you have to destroy them before the corporations can salvage the tech. Follow our walkthrough to get the job done.
Middle Flatwell, the commander of the Rubicon Liberation Front in the ice field, gives you this mission. Note that this is a Decision mission, so it'll lock you onto a specific story path aligned with Ayre.
Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech Best Build
This is a mostly straightforward encounter against a limited number of mechs, so an overwhelming offensive can go a long way. Use dual SONGBIRDS on your back with a Zimmerman shotgun and Pile Bunker on your arms. Use a light- or medium-weight bipedal assembly.
Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech Walkthrough
Your goal is to eliminate cutting-edge PCA mechs before the corporations can reverse-engineer the technology. The Hjalmar Mine is where you'll find them, which is the same mission map as the Steal the Survey Data mission.
From the mission start, scoot forward through the valley to face some generic weaponry and light MTs. Middle Flatwell will explain that the targets are stationed in two camps. Once you hit one camp, the other unit(s) will rush over to provide backup.
You can head for either first, but the better choice is definitely the two LCs. The new HC is undergoing repairs in a position guarded by plenty of lesser mechs. But it'll still deploy before you can get close enough to hit it and the LCs will probably reach you before you can take him down.
Instead, take the main path to the right. When your objective marker splits into two to highlight each of the LCs, hug the cliff wall on the right and move slowly.
You can sneak up on the PCA mech there and deal a lot of damage before they even realize what you're doing. Once the fight begins, eliminate any generic weaponry or light MTs in the area, then focus on the LC without a shield first.
If all goes well, the cutting-edge HC will find you standing over piles of wreckage when it finally shows up.
Between its Pulse Shield and giant laser sword, this mech is designed for close-range fights. It can easily put you on the ropes if you try to confront it in an aerial battle, so do your best to keep it close to the ground with its back against a wall. When it does try to slash out at you, dodge directly toward it, and you can typically evade all of the damage.
As soon as all three of the major mechs are down, that concludes the mission.
