Throughout your time in Animal Well there is a number of different items and powers that can only be unlocked through completing certain puzzles and tasks. Many of those unlockables come after beating the game too. These unlockables vary in usefulness, although one of them is needed to get the true ending.

| Animal Flute | Used to play songs, which have a variety of purposes. | Collect 8 Eggs |
| Pencil | Used to draw on the Map | Collect 16 Eggs |
| Top | Used to destroy parts of the ground and rocks | Collect 32 Eggs |
| 65th Egg | Used to complete the true ending | Collect 64 Eggs |
| UV Light | Used to see hidden messages in the environment | Light all 9 Candles |
| Wheel | Used to safely walk on spikes | Unlock all 5 Cat Cages |
| F Pack | Used to carry up to six firecrackers | Defeat the final boss |
| Wings | Used to fly | Complete the 16 endgame Rabbit puzzles |
