Creative Mode
Creative Mode gives you the ability to spawn any number of in-game objects, weapons, tools, and more in 7 Days to Die. Thankfully, unlocking it for your game server is as quick as toggling a switch. Here's everything you need to know about activating and using Creative Mode.
How to Activate Creative Mode
You can activate Creative Mode for a new or current game save. All you need to do is select "New Game" or "Continue Game" in the main menu, which opens up an options box. Here, you can choose a name for your game, the map type, and features. To turn on Creative Mode, select the "Advanced" tab and flip the switch next to Creative Mode from "Off" to "On."
To turn on Creative Mode while in a game, press the "F1" key on your keyboard to open up the console window. Type "cm" without the quotation marks and hit the "Enter" key then "ESC" to return to the game. This will turn Creative Mode on. Repeat the process to turn it back off.
You can also search for multiplayer games with Creative Mode enabled. To do so, select "Join A Game" in the main menu, navigate to the "Advanced" tab, turn Creative Mode on near the bottom of the list, and then press "Start Search."
How to Use Creative Mode
Once in the game, press the "U" key on your PC keyboard to enter the Creative Menu. This will give you access to every in-game object and item, including construction pieces, furniture, props, and weapons.
To add items, select them with your cursor and drag them over to your inventory. You can remove the items from the game by opening the Creative Menu and dragging the items back over.
In Creative Mode, you can summon purified Water from thin air or stack up on Coal. With this power, you can also completely decorate the inside of your base with cat pictures. Who's going to stop you?
No one, that's mew.
Select the backpack icon on the bottom-left corner of the Creative Menu for "Items" if you want weapons and tools. Use the search window at the top to look for any weapon or tool you desire at all Quality levels. The human icon above it is for "Player Blocks," which includes crafting stations such as the Workbench.
