Best Mods
After spending many hours with a game, sometimes you get the urge to spice things up. We scoured the internet for the best 7 Days to Die mods, which you can find below.
Mods, or modifiers, allow you to customize your experience with a game. Often, players look toward mods to improve on a feature or rework it completely. Mods can add new custom content or give a game a bold, new look. The mods we picked for 7 Days to Die check those boxes.
Best Mods for 7 Days to Die
For many players, the best mods are often subjective. The ones in this list were chosen with more experienced players in mind, but just about everyone should find them enjoyable nonetheless.
AGF HUD Plus
The default UI (user interface) of 7 Days to Die is clean and minimal, but maybe by a little too much. AGF HUD Plus by creator AuroraGiggleFairy (AGF) gives the heads-up display (HUD) a complete makeover. It moves the hunger, thirst, and level bars to the corner and adds information such as current temperature.
The beauty of AGF Hud Plus is in its clean but compact design, which still provides more information than the default UI. It also widens the compass to show more landmarks and improves the chat and NPC dialogue menus.

Reset Trader's Quests
Have you burned through every Tier 5 Trader Quest already? Normally, you'll have to wait until the next morning to go on another job. The mod Reset Trader's Quests by creator 0xSteel lets you refresh the job list with a press of a button.
The mod adds a new dialogue option for the NPC Trader that lets you refresh the list of quests on offer. If you're looking for a particular quest that isn't on the list or to go on more errands, this mod is for you.

Craft From Containers
One of the best innovations in modern survival crafting games is the option to craft from containers. Sadly, 7 Days to Die lacks such a feature — until now. Craft From Containers by creator aedenthorn allows you to create anything you desire using materials stored away in chests.
Crafting from a container means you can craft items without having to add the necessary materials to your inventory. So long as the storage containers with the resources are in your vicinity, you can pull from them when using the crafting menu or at a workbench.

PhD Bigger Backpack and Secure Storage Chests
Some of the most difficult decisions you can make in a survival crafting game are what to take with you and what to leave when you're rocking a full inventory. Bigger Backpack and Secure Storage Chests by PhDGaming fixes the issue by increasing your backpack to 120 slots.
The mod also increases the size of your storage chests. If you've been fighting for space, the mod increases the number of storage chest slots to 143. That's quite a lot. PhD has been behind many other storage-enhancing mods, such as one that increases the storage space of vehicles to 90 slots.
If 120 slots is a bit too much, AGF (the HUD mod maker from above) has a mod that only increases the storage space by 72.

Harry's Better Supply Drops
We've all been there. A Supply Crate is slowly touching down, and you're racing over to crack it open and splurge on the goodies inside. But it only contains some food items and a Stone Axe. Never fear, because Harry's Better Supply Drops by creator BobbyLee298 is here to help.
The mod greatly increases the quality of the loot found in Supply Crates. You may find higher-tier tools and weapons, weapon mod crates, better medical supplies, and more.

Faster Crafting
Let's face it, late-game crafting in 7 Days to Die can be a bit of a chore. Crafting hundreds of rounds of ammunition can take 30 minutes or longer, leaving you forced to idle away the time before hopping back into Tier 6 Quests. Faster Crafting by StrikerMack removes the wait so you can get back to the loot grind.
Faster Crafting shaves the time needed to craft something down to mere seconds. Why waste another minute?

Bdub's Vehicles
7 Days to Die includes five vehicles, such as the Bicycle and Motorcycle. But that might not be enough for a zombie-slaying gearhead, which makes Bdub's Vehicles by bdubyah a good mod to try.
Bdub's Vehicles adds 26 new vehicles to the game, each with strengths and weaknesses to consider. If you ever wanted to jam through the Burnt Forest in a Buggy, Cruiser, or Golf Cart, this mod provides. The vehicles aren't branded, but some are designed with real-world cars and trucks in mind.

OCB Stop Fuel Waste
While fuel isn't exactly scarce in 7 Days to Die, you still wouldn't want to have it all turn to ash for no reason. OCB Stop Fuel Waste by creator ocbMaurice prevents workstations such as the Forge from burning fuel after they finish crafting items.
The mod automatically turns off the Forge, Campfire, or Chemistry Station when the task is complete. Any remaining fuel, such as Wood or Coal, will be kept safe for the next time you need it.

Darkness Falls
Unlike mods that change one or two game aspects, Darkness Falls by creator Khaine is an overhaul mod for 7 Days to Die. The popular mod adds classes such as Scientist and Mechanic, along with class-specific quests. It reworks the crafting, making it more in-depth and adding many new recipes to discover. Darkness Falls introduces you to a story using the original map as its framework.
Darkness Falls isn't for the faint of heart, though. It's tougher than the base game, pitting you against stronger zombie types earlier than normal. The harsh world of Darkness Falls is challenging, and veteran players may find the refreshing take to their liking.
Keep note that Darkness Falls isn't designed to be played with other mods. You'll need to remove any mods you have before adding it to the game. To do so, download the mod as a zip file and unpack the "Mods" folder into the 7 Days to Die folder in the Steamapps folder located on the drive you have Steam installed. The developer also suggests making a copy of the game folder beforehand, just in case.
For in-depth installation instructions, you should check out Khaine's how-to video.
