Armor List
Whether it's the bite of frost or a zombie, you'll need to protect yourself with Armor in 7 Days to Die. Armor can mitigate damage and regulate heat and cold. There are multiple armor sets available in the game, each providing boons and bonuses that benefit your play style.
Armor bonuses can assist you in every task related to 7 Days to Die. Do you need to mine more ore? The Miner Armor is for you. Are you hunting for loot? Step into the Scavenger Armor for better loot quality and more storage space. Whatever the task, be sure to strap on the right gear before heading off.
How to Get Armor
Armor, like most items in 7 Days to Die, can be crafted or looted. You'll be able to find armor pieces like gloves or helmets in Supply Crates or other containers. But it's not a guarantee you'll find a complete set and, even if you do, it may not include the bonuses you want.
That's where armor crafting comes into play. At the start of the game, you're able to craft a full set of Primitive Armor, cobbled together from grass and wood. Crafting the armor is a part of the tutorial quests, so you'll likely have the set before any other. But you're going to want to upgrade if you plan to survive much longer.
To craft better armor, you'll need to raise your Armor Skill. Reading Armored Up Skill Magazines allows you to unlock armor blueprints and increase their Quality (level). You'll first read the magazines to increase the Quality of Primitive Armor up to Quality 6 with 10 magazines.
At 11 magazines you unlock every armor blueprint available at Quality 1. Reading more magazines increases the Quality gradually, ending at the maximum of Quality 6. Crafting armor requires ingredients such as Iron, Leather, and an Armor Crafting Kit.
Armor List
There are 16 armor sets in 7 Days to Die in Light, Medium, and Heavy varieties. Collecting an entire armor set awards you with a Set Bonus, which offers an extra buff. The only armor that doesn't include a Set Bonus is the Primitive Armor. But, to be fair, you're not meant to wear it until endgame.
Bonuses that armor pieces provide are given by a percentage. The amount you gain increases parallel to Quality. In other words, the higher the Quality rating, the better the bonus.
Armor Rating will increase as you move through the armor tiers, but heavier armor will drain more stamina, be less mobile, and cause you to create more noise during movement.
