How to Check Your AirPod’s Battery Life on iPhone or iPad
If you want to check the battery percentage of both the AirPods/AirPods Pros and the charging case, simply bring the case next to your iPhone or iPad and open the case’s lid. After a few seconds, the battery life will appear for both products. You do not need to unlock your iPhone or iPad to see the battery life.
Additionally, you can check on the battery life of your AirPods and the charging case with Widgets. Thanks to iOS 14 and iPadOS 15, you can use the Widgets features on both devices to check on the battery. This feature still works with all the latest software updates. The process is the same as mentioned in the paragraph above. There are a few caveats with the Widget option. The charging case’s battery percentage will disappear after a few moments after you take the AirPods out of their case. If you want to check the status of the case’s battery life you need to have at least one AirPod in the case.
How to Check AirPods Battery Life on Mac
If you’ve connected your AirPods to a Mac or MacBook, you can also use it to check the battery life..
As with checking on other devices you need to either take the AirPods out of the case or open the case itself. From there click on the Bluetooth symbol or AirPods shaped icon in your menu bar and a drop down window will show the remaining battery life in each earbud individually. Note that the remaining battery life in the case isn’t displayed on macOS.
How to Check AirPods Battery Life on Apple TV
Streaming content with Apple TV and a pair of AirPods? Well you can also check on how much battery your wireless earbuds have here too. All you have to do is long-press the home button (which looks like a TV) and it’ll bring up the sidebar menu. From there select the AirPods icon to show the remaining battery life. The Apple TV only shows the remaining battery life of the right AirPod.
Can I Check Battery Life on Android?
As a matter of fact, you can. If you own an Android smartphone or other device and a pair of AirPods, you can download a third-party app on the Google Play Store. A few examples of apps that will check the battery life of the AirPods include AirDroid, MaterialPods, and PodAir. Just make sure that you pair your Apple earbuds to the Android device and grant permission from the applicable third-party app to ensure that you can keep tabs on the battery life. You might want also want to check out alternate wireless earbuds or headphones when using your Android device.
