Golf Story 2 is called Sports Story
Developer Sidebar Games announced a sequel to early Nintendo Switch indie hit Golf Story called Sports Story. Rather just following on a single sport, Sports Story will include, based on the footage, golfing, tennis, volleyball, dungeon crawling, espionage, minigames, and much more.Sports Story will launch as a Switch exclusive in mid-2020.
Axiom Verge 2
Axiom Verge, the beloved Metroidvania made entirely by developer Tom Happ, is officially getting a sequel, and it’s set for release in fall 2020.Not much has been revealed about the sequel from the Indie World showcase, but we did get our first look at gameplay.
Streets of Rage 4
A new trailer for Streets of Rage 4 highlighted returning character Adam Hunter, while also promising a release in the first half of 2020.Gleamlight
D3Publisher showed off Gleamlight, a game in which players become a sword and fight enemies with the help of a group of intrepid kids.It’s set for an early 2020 release on Switch.
Bake’n Switch
Bake’n Switch is hitting the Nintendo, uh, Switch in summer 2020. It promises party brawler co-op action with between one and four players.Supermash
What if game genres were smashed together to create new games? Supermash answers that question by allowing players to pick two genres, ranging from turn-based RPGs to side-scrolling shooters to many more. Players can collect DEV cards based on game creations and share them with other players.Supermash is set for a May 2020 release.
The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition
The acclaimed Talos Principle first-person puzzler is coming to the Nintendo Switch later today, December 10. The deluxe version of Talos includes the base game and the expansion Road to Gahenna.Sail Forth
Sail Forth is a naval 3D action game where you pilot your own ship on the high seas and take on other ships, monsters, and brave the stormy seas themselves.Taking place on a procedurally generated map, Sail Forth also lets players deeply customzie their ships, including color, weapons, equipment, abd more.
Sail Forth will be released in 2020.
Dauntless
The Monster Hunter-esque free-to-play Dauntless is available now on the Nintendo Switch. Dauntless on Nintendo Switch has launched with cross-play and cross-progression on all platforms, so if you have an existing account, you can continue from where you left off on the Switch. With the new launch comes new content too, including a new Escalation hunt mode inspired by roguelikes like Slay the Spire and Risk of Rain. Boyfriend Dungeon, which sets players through a dungeon crawling experience in which weapons can transform into a host of potential boyfriends, will be coming to the Switch in 2020.Dreamscaper
Afterburner Studios’ Dreamscaper will come to Switch first in early 2020 as a timed exclusive on consoles.Dreamscaper is inspired by brawlers, top-down shooters, and dungeon crawlers, featuring randomized dungeons that players explore each time their character goes to sleep. In the waking world, players will forge friendships that affect those dream worlds.
