Miitomo's paid currency ceased being sold yesterday, but players will be given them as daily login bonuses so that they can continue using the shop and Miitomo drop features until the shutdown.No reasoning has been given for the shutdown, but it's most likely because of a drop-off of users. Miitomo garnered 10 million users in the app's first month available.
Nintendo's plans for smartphone gaming continue unabated, however. The company is aiming to release two to three apps per year alongside developers DeNA. Nintendo's also looking into partnering with more mobile developers in future.
