Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster: Back to Zanarkand on PS3 and Vita

Final Fantasy X and its rocking sequel Final Fantasy X-2 are making their way stateside on March 18 in a beautiful remastered collection for PlayStation 3 and Vita. For the first time in North America, gamers will be able to play through the international version of each game.

At IGN, we were able to play the beginning portion of each game to get a feel for the upgraded visuals and re-arranged soundtracks. Check out the preview video below to see how much more visually appealing Spira looks now, almost 10 years later.

From the moment we heard the first notes of "To Zanarkand" when the game opened, the nostalgia washed over us like a cool and cleansing rain. The remastered soundtrack is beautiful, but it seems like the characters have seen the most work. They have a few more expressions, but really its their bright eyes that you'll get lost in.

In terms of features, both Final Fantasy X and X-2 are available from the start and they each come packed with a full set of Trophies. With these extras, on top of the special features found in the international editions, there's a ton of fresh content in the two games that will keep even those who have beaten them before busy.
