Former PC-exclusive, Phantasy Star Online 2 will be coming to Sony's handheld. A translation by Andriasang states that both the PC and Vita versions of the game will be played on the same server, and you'll be able to use the same character across both platforms.
But lots of new games were also spotted in a series of videos released today, including Legend of Heroes Zero no Kiseki, Gundam Musou, and Super Robot Wars.
A strange multimedia project called Project Discovery by Kadokawa Games (in association with anime studios Robot and Ufotable) was also announced, which seemingly looks to be a collaborative art/storytelling app. Our guess is that Project Discover might be something like an advanced version of the cool Japanese PSP game Adventure Player (think RPG Maker but for text+graphic adventures,) and if that's the case then the touchscreen accessibility, multimedia functionality, and online connectivity could make for a very powerful little tool.
But arguably the most interesting new game teased was a new title from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune. Earlier in the week IGN reported that Inafune was looking into developing a game for the PlayStation Vita.
In a video message (translated by Andriasang), Inafune describes the new game as "Inafune-like" and "amazing". So not much to go on for now.
No Western release dates for any of the games above have yet been confirmed.
Also, as part of today's PlayStation Vita Game Heaven broadcast, there was this video from Kojima productions:
The film shows some gameplay footage from the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and announces a 28 June release date in Japan. The game will have polished graphics, trophies and "bespoke" control schemes to take advantage of the Vita's touchscreen capabilities. The games will also support Kojima's Productions unique 'transfarring' system allowing data sharing across PlayStation 3 units.
