Like the previously announced Sky Kid, the webcomic version of Xevious will be handled by comic book industry vets, written by longtime G.I. Joe scribe Mike Costa and drawn by versatile artist Mike Norton. According to ShiftyLook, Xevious will tell "a story of love and war in the midst of an alien invasion set over the skies of South America" and will be created for the site by Cryptozoic Entertainment.
"Xevious is a key achievement within the lexicon of classic Namco arcade games," said Rob Pereyda, Producer, Editor-in-Chief, and Head of ShiftyLook. "With these webcomics, we hope to help the franchise rekindle its past glory leading up to its 30th anniversary and beyond."
