Bone Detectives: "Anatomy of Ancient Death" -- 7:00pm ET/PT on Discovery. Archaeologist Scotty Moore takes viewers literally around the world, as he provides an inside look at the process of investigating archaeological mysteries. Featuring segments from all episodes in season one, Scotty shows how he and his crew get to the location of their unique dig sites (often the hardest part of the task); analyze the specimens, find critical evidence in high-tech labs, relate that evidence to the history of world cultures, and ultimately reach solutions to their centuries-old mysteries.
Survivor: Fans vs Favorites: "I Should Be Carried on the Chariot-Type Thing!" -- 8:00pm ET/PT on CBS. The Fans finally get the matchup they've been waiting for when they learn they must compete head-to-head in a full contact battle with the Favorites. Meanwhile, one castaway is torn between two alliances and makes demands in order to get what she wants. The third person is voted off the island.

American Idol: "4 Voted Off Live" -- 8:00pm ET/PT on FOX. The 24 semifinalists performed for America this week, and the viewers have determined their fate. Tonight, four contestants two males and two females will go home, leaving 20 finalists vying for the American Idol crown. Who will make it through the first round of cuts?
Supernatural: "Night Shifter" -- 8:00pm ET/PT on The CW. Repeat -- Sam and Dean investigate a string of robberies with a disturbing pattern - in each incident a trusted employee holds up the bank then commits suicide. However, when the autopsy reports shows their actual time of death as several days before the robbery, Sam and Dean realize the shape-shifter has returned.
MythBusters: "Firearms Folklore" -- 8:00pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel. Repeat -- Just when you think Adam and Jamie have tested every gun legend in history, they come up with three more myths. In an urban shootout, could a criminal's bullet have hit and then jammed the empty chamber of a policeman's revolver? Saving Private Ryan might have been based on fact but what about the scene where one sniper kills another by shooting straight down the enemy's gun scope? And assuming two antique bullets once hit midair in a Civil War battle, is it even remotely possible those two bullets fused together? In the meantime, Kari, Grant and Tori go to great lengths to see whether humankind's first and simplest tool — the hammer — could be far more dangerous than you think.
My Name Is Earl: "My Name Is Inmate 28301-016" -- 8:00pm ET/PT on NBC. Repeat -- Earl begins his jail sentence and discovers that life is not easy behind bars. He persistently tries to find out the best approach to surviving in his new environment. Meanwhile, Joy finds out, after a few failed attempts, the perfect gift to pay Earl back for taking her spot in jail comes in the form of taking care of Randy, who is also having a hard time adjusting to his new life without Earl. In prison, Earl is sought out by a bully, who has lived most of his life in jail as a result of Young Earl's mischief. This new life for Earl behind bars must mean years of bad karma or does it? Lost: "The Economist" -- 8:00pm ET/PT on ABC. Repeat -- Locke's hostage may be the key to getting off the island, so Sayid and Kate go in search of their fellow castaway in an attempt to negotiate a peaceful deal. (Our Review)
The Incredibles -- 8:30pm ET/PT on ABC Family. A family of animated superheroes is forced to come out of retirement to save the world.
Lost: "Eggtown" -- 9:00pm ET/PT on ABC. Kate's need to get information out of the hostage may jeopardize her standing with Locke -- as well as with Sawyer.
The new season of Lost has been fascinating to watch. Ever since the first flash-forward in the third season finale, I've been on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next scene of the future. My only concern with the flash-forwards is that they'll be used too often and reveal too much. I've been pretty happy with them so far. |
The Celebrity Apprentice: "Quality, Value, and Chaos" -- 9:00pm ET/PT on NBC. The teams meet for the task delivery, and Donald Trump sends them by helicopter to the QVC Headquarters in Pennsylvania. Each team is responsible for writing, directing, and producing an entire ten-minute sales segment live on QVC. A few of the celebrities have sold items on the network before, but others have a significant learning curve. Each team has a disastrous rehearsal just before going on live TV. In the end, the team that makes the most from sales wins, and another celebrity is fired.
American Chopper: "Gander Mountain 2" -- 9:00pm ET/PT on TLC. OCC continues on their latest custom creation -- a street bike/motocross hybrid for the outdoor lifestyle company Gander Mountain. The Teutuls travel to Brazil to unveil a special bike... and find themselves invited to the presidential palace. Back at the shop, doubts about Pohl's abilities quickly resurface, and his inexperience tests Sr.'s patience. Mikey steps in and challenges the old man to a competition that fosters some father-son bonding.
TNA: iMPACT! -- 9:00pm ET/PT on Spike TV. iMPACT! delivers a distinct brand of high-risk athletic entertainment. Taking pro-wrestling to the extreme, TNA takes younger talent and gives them a stage which would otherwise not be available. The result of the high-flying wrestling is total non-stop action.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: "Who and What" -- 9:00pm ET/PT on CBS. Repeat -- In Part One of a Two-Part crossover episode to conclude on Without A Trace, a kidnap victim from New York who went missing six years ago may be the same boy whose death Grissom and the CSI team are investigating in Las Vegas.
MythBusters: "Archimedes Death Ray" -- 9:00pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel. Repeat -- Challenged from fan mailbags to retest the "Archimedes Death Ray," Adam and Jamie accept. In turn, fans and a M.I.T. team were invited to perform this challenge.
In Treatment: "Jake and Amy - Week Four" -- 9:30pm ET/PT on HBO. Paul explores the issues that have fueled Jake and Amy's volatile relationship.
Eli Stone: "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" -- 10:00pm ET/PT on ABC. As if visions of George Michael weren't enough, Eli's latest revelation is of a man who appears in his TV set asking for help. To his surprise, the man turns out to be a patient of Nathan's who's awoken from a five-year coma only to learn he's lost his company to his wife and her new husband - and he asks Eli to sue to get his old life back. Eli realizes that the only way to do this is to challenge the annulment of the marriage -- which means suing the church.
Lipstick Jungle: "Chapter Three: Pink Poison" -- 10:00pm ET/PT on NBC. Wendy Healy must deal with the release of a new book, portraying her as a bad mother, by her rival, Janice Lasher. With both the public's and Lasher's eye on Wendy, she decides to bring her daughter with her to a "Women in Media" luncheon that does not go according to plan. Wendy is also faced with a tough decision about whether to allow a young actress star in a racy film. Meanwhile, Nico makes a decision to slow down the affair with Kirby and the relationship takes an unexpected turn. Elsewhere, Victory decides that it is time to introduce Mr. Joe Bennett to the girls, which will play a major role in which direction the relationship will go.
Without a Trace: "Where and Why" -- 10:00pm ET/PT on CBS. Repeat -- Continuing where CSI left off, the FBI team and Gil Grissom search for a pattern which will help them capture a suspected killer.
MythBusters: "Helium Football" -- 10:00pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel. Repeat -- This time around, Adam and Jamie test a myth that footballs filled with helium will fly farther and hang longer than ones filled with regulation air. Then the build team seeks to answer the age-old question: Are teeth strong enough to withstand the force of a bullet?
