But Volume 3 is a little more special. The third batch of games pays homage to the Famicom Disk System, a disk drive released for the system back in the mid 80s that offered larger than normal games for cheaper, which also featured game saves thanks to the ability to write directly to the disk.
Though many of these games were released later in the Famicom system's life as battery-backed cartridges, they were originally released as Disks. Each of the new batch of games in this Famicom Mini series were featured as Famicom Disk System games back in the day, and the games themselves play as if they were played on the Disk Drive. Which means you'll see a lot of "Loading" screens throughout the gameplay.
The cartridges themselves have also been given the Famicom Disk System look. Instead of the maroon/beige color scheme that the Volume One and Two games features, Volume Three games come in special yellow cartridge, mirroring the look of the Famicom Disks:

The boxes in the series feature Nintendo's Famicom Disk System mascot, Disk-kun. His goofy googly mug is emblazoned on the packaging of each of the ten games, marking the connection these games have to the Famicom Disk System series.

Metroid, Castlevania and The Legend of Zelda II will be coming to the states this October 25th as part of the next batch of Classic NES Series games.
