First, this is a very unpopular game, which makes me upset since it is such a good game for this day and age. Sure it's no GTA, but it's a hell of a lot better than Jak II or what ever other games that are out there that puzzles me how the heck they got so popular. Plus, every professional site gives it poor reviews. But this is just my opinion. In this game there are a few things I want to cover before anyone starts reading the Walkthroughs. The main technique or strategy that I use in almost every Mission is Multi-Shot. I will be saying use the Multi-Shot Technique in most of the Missions. So, what is the Multi-Shot Technique? If you hold square the Mobile Suit will lock on to multiple targets and releasing square will allow the Mobile Suit to shoot them all at once. The Multi-Shot Technique is when you use Multi-Shot, double tap X in left or right direction, and repeat the Multi-Shot and double tap until the enemy is no more. Why do we use this? Well, because when you shoot more than one Mobile Suits at a time (two to three or more) you gain a little extra points if your shots hit all of them at once (not exactly at that time, just that Multi-Shot). This is crucial to the success of an A or S. You have to do this at a good speed too. You don't to do it super fast, just at a quick pace. Another technique or strategy I'd like to share is just a normal technique. When fighting enemies one-by-one what I usually do is boost at them shooting like mad at an enemy Mobile Suit and when I get close I use my Melee or Beam Saber Attack. This kills them off fast which might be crucial to success of an A or S. Also, when killing Space Ships always shoot it again two or three times after it blows up. Why? Because, if you shoot it again it might blow up again giving you more points. This is not a glitch, just a secret. We will call this Redestroying of a Ship. Further more about Ships always Multi-Shoot them too for extra turret points. I also don't agree with Retrying. Always select Retry Stage if you screw up, because for some reason you get marked down when you Retry. I believe they take it out of your Bonus, but what ever it is, just select Retry Stage. Most people don't realize that you can sometimes use your sub weapon when in the middle of a melee attack. Depending on which Mobile Suit you use, you will be able to use the sub weapon to take off extra damage as you swing. As a side note, after White Base or Char's Ace Pilot Mode when you are fencing, if you look around you may notice Sayla is in the room with you. Updates: New format with the Unlock Guide. The real and proven way to get Gelgoog J?ger. A Character list and how to unlock(never tested by me). Char Mission 5. Soon to Come: I might be putting in a list of how to unlock all the characters as well as Char's Mission 5, and of course, spelling errors... Copyright: OK, just leave this as Bacon Gundam's(aka Mike Oetzell's) FAQ. Are you Bacon Gundam? No. So no taking this FAQ(or any part of it) and claiming it as yours. Sure, you may go ahead and print it for personal use and be sure to tell your friends about it, but no taking information from it and saying it came from you, because it didn't. +++++++++++++++++III-White Base (Movie and TV Version)+++++++++++++++++ Since TV Version pretty much covers up everything in Movie Version and more, I'm only going to write for TV Version Missions. Don't worry if you need Movie Version Missions, it's the same thing. TV Version just has a little more Stages in some Missions than Movie Version. This is a walkthrough on how to get an A or S Rank on every Mission in White Base. Since I am not sure on how many points you need to achieve and A or S rank per Mission, I'll be listing my Score strait from the Record. I'll also be putting up Check Point Scores so in between Stages of a Mission so you'll know if you're on the right track to getting an A or S. -------------------------------Mission 1------------------------------- Stage 1 OK, nothing too hard here. Just keep up the pace with using the Multi-Shot Technique (What is this? Read chapter I Intro) when ever there are more than two targets on the screen. Remember, you can Redestroy Ships here so try and get those extra points. Shouldn't be too hard, or you're in trouble... Check Point Score: 61,000 Stage 2 Make sure to take out the other Mobile Suits before taking out the Mobile Armor. Once again, nothing hard here, just take out that Mobile Armor quickly. What you can do is once it makes it's "charging bull attack" chase it while boosting and shoot like mad. Try using the Special, it takes off a lot of damage. Score: 101,920 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 136,920 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 2------------------------------- Stage 1 For Stage 1 use the Multi-Shot Technique as much as you can. Make sure you get three Mobile Suits in one Multi-Shot for the points. You may notice Amuro counts up to seven the stops, make at least two sets of three Mobile Suits in you Multi-Shot die at once. Multi-Shot is the key here on the Mobile Suits and Space Ships. Check Point Score: 72,000 Stage 2 First things first take out the from main gun Turret on the Chivvay. Once that is gone, the White Base is OK. Next, take out the Musai to the side for some good points too. Take out the other couple Mobile Suits and take out the Chivvay to end the Mission. Try and get a few Multi-Shots in there for some extra points. Score: 135,790 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 170,790 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 3------------------------------- Stage 1 OK, first things first, destroy to two ships you are protecting. Yes, that's right, take them out yourself. Doing this will take you to an extra Stage for plenty of extra points. Now, take out as much enemy Mobile Suits as you can. There is obviously a time limit till the Solar-System charges up so speed is key. If you can, Multi-Shot some people, but only when there are two or more on your screen. Check Point Score: 64,000 Stage 2 OK, the Multi-Shot Technique is key here. Multi-Shot every thing. Even if there is one Mobile Suit, it does more damage. Make sure you get almost every turret (there is very little room for error) and Mobile Suit. Every Musai too as well as Redestroy them. Once you are about to come out of Route Tube, you'll see a Musai and fly right pass it, then come out of Route Tube. Turn around and Multi-Shot destroy and Redestroy it. Then take out every Mobile Suit you see that comes out. Finally, (quickly) destroy the Papuas to end to the Stage and go through another Route Tube. Check Point Score: 169,000 Stage 3 Going through the Route Tube make sure to Multi-Shot everything thoroughly. Points are scored big when hitting everything at once. You will come out of the Route Tube for a brief moment to destroy a Zanzibar. The trick here is to use the Multi-Shot Technique on every thing. Just simply stand there, Multi-Shot, barrel roll, blah blah. You'll have to back up every once in a while to get the Mobile Suits that come out of the sides into your Multi-Shot. Then you'll go back into Route Tube and fly over to a reactor. Keep the pace! Multi-Shot every and as much as you can. You'll come up on these reactors that will slide back into the main reactor, Multi-Shot those as soon as you lock on them. You'll miss a couple, but that's OK. Then, you'll come to the core of the reactor that is protected by moving plates and other cylinders. The Route Tube will stop (but not go into Battle Sphere), but only for a little while, so Multi-Shot like crazy at every thing. If you do this good enough, you should take out everything in the nuclear reactor core (minus some of the turret by the core) and go fly away in Route Tube to a Space Port that puts you in Battle Sphere. Take out the Musai that's sitting there, Redestroy it, and every other Mobile Suit to go back into Route Tube. The gravitational environment is a little unstable, so boost at the Mobile Suit shooting like mad. Go back into Route Tube and take out the door with one shot to go outside and back into Battle Sphere. Take out the Musai along with the Mobile Suits with the Multi-Shot Technique. Be fast, remember to double tap in between shots. At the end, you should get a call from Bright saying to pursue and enemy Ship with Sayla. To the next Stage! Check Point Score: 420,000 Stage 4 Here take out all the Mobile Suits (Multi-Shot Technique if you can) before you take out the Bigro. Use the same tactics as you did in Mission 1. Shouldn't be anything new. Check Point Score: 442,000 Stage 5 Start off by using Multi-Shot Technique on Gato and his two buddies. Once they both die or retreat, attack Gato over and over with your Beam Saber until he's dead. Score: 464,340 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 487,340 Rank: A -------------------------------Mission 4------------------------------- Stage 1 Start off by taking out everything at once. Use the Multi-Shot Technique and blast everything to hell and back as fast as you can. Once you take out all three Ships, about that time the Gyan will show up. Before you take his health down to about one forth, take out every other Mobile Suit. Once the Rick Doms are gone, use the Beam Saber to take out the Gyan fast. Keep on slashing him until he barrel rolls. When he barrel rolls, you barrel roll, press L1, and triangle to attack again and again. Check Point Score: 127,000 Stage 2 Just attack the Gyan, don't waste your time with points for the mines. You need to kill the Gyan fast. Try to get a good Special on him, that really does the trick, but in the mean time use the same Beam Saber technique. Check Point Score: 127,500 Stage 3 OK, not too hard. You can attack with the Beam Saber and Specail right after and that's the end on the Stage. Speed is the key. Check Point Stage: 128,000 Stage 4 Bring the Gyan's health down for a while. Don't go too fast, or you'll kill him before Char comes. Char comes like half a minute into the Stage. Once Char comes, take him out with your Beam Saber and try to trick him into getting hit by your Special. Taking Char out before the Gyan will get you some extra points. Take out the Gyan with a couple of slashes. If you beat him fast enough through the last Stages you should go to the next Stage. Check Point Score: 129,000 Stage 5 Shoot down everything with the Multi-Shot Technique. Remember to Redestroy the Ships too. The key to the Stage is to take out as much as you can before the next Stage. Check Point Score: 195,000 Stage 6 Start of by finishing off any left over Space Ships, if any. Then, proceed to take out the Doms with the Multi-Shot Technique. Once they are done, fishing the Mission by taking out Johnny Ridden with snicker-snack of your Beam Saber, rolling when he does. Score: 247,970 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 282,970 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 5------------------------------- Stage 1 Protect the White Base killing each Mobile Suit one-by-one as fast as you can. If you get two Mobile Suits on your screen use the Multi-Shot Technique, but any other time take them all out as fast as possible. The gravitational environment is a pain, so keep shooting mad while boosting at them. Check Point Score: 95,000 Stage 2 Once again, take out every Mobile Suit one-by-one. Use the same tactics as the last Stage. Once all the Mobile Suits are gone quickly take out the Mobile Armor. After he rolls lock on as fast a possible and use your Special to help kill him faster. Use your Beam Rifle more than your Beam Saber. Score: 136,110 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 171,110 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 6------------------------------- Stage 1 You fly through a Route Tube for the beginning of the battle. Take out as many Mobile Suits as you can by continually pressing L1 until you lock on, then shoot like a mad man until the Mobile Suit blows up. Eventually, you will get to a point were you helplessly watch three or four of your Space Ships (still in Route Tube get destroyed by the Elmeth's pods. While you watch, hold square and wait till you get to the last Ship and three Doms will appear, lock on and destroy them. Then you will come out of Route Tube and into Battle Sphere. Take out a Musai and the rest of the Mobile Suits with the Multi-Shot Technique. Remember to roll and shoot. Check Point Score: 188,000 Stage 2 Before taking out the Mobile Armor get rid of the Rick Doms for a few extra points. After they are gone, stick to the Elmeth like glue slashing with your Beam Saber. Use your Special when you can hit it and by tricking it or right after it rolls. Check Point Score: 208,000 Stage 3 Just keep attacking the Elmeth until Char arrives. Use your Beam Saber more than your Beam Rifle. Check Point Score: 208,500 Stage 4 Use the same fighting tactics as always. Use your Beam Saber repeatedly until he rolls, so you roll, press L1 and use your Beam Saber right away as fast as possible. Try and Trick him with a Special as always. Shouldn't be too hard. Score: 209,170 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 244,1700 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 7------------------------------- Stage 1 In the Route Tube Multi-Shot even on one Mobile Suit. Multi-Shot the Mobile Suit and quickly Multi Shot it again. Do this because it gets you ready to shoot more than one enemy when you're not expecting it. Once you get to the Musai in Route Tube don't worry about Multi-Shoting it for more points, just lock on and shoot like crazy. If you try to Multi-Shot you will end up not destroying the Musai at all. Redestroy it. Once out of Route Tube use the Multi-Shot Technique on the enemy Mobile Suits and the Musai, and Resdestroy the Musai as well. Once you go back into Route Tube hold square for the Multi-Shot. Be ready for multiple enemy units. You'll fly in Route Tube to the White Base to protect it. Use the Multi-Shot Technique to take out the Mobile Suits and the Musais at the same time. When you've destroyed and Redestroyed to Musais, kill each Mobile Suit one-by-one. Just focus on the Mobile Suits. Boost at them and shoot like crazy and when you get close Beam Saber 'em. Check Point Score: 201,000 Stage 2 In Route Tube, if there is one enemy on your screen lock on it and shoot it to death. If there are two, Multi-Shot them to death. Once out of Route Tube, destroy all Mobile Suits with the Multi-Shot Technique before taking out the two Bigros. Not too hard here, just be quick about it. Check Point Score: 338,000 Stage 3 You go through Route Tube Multi-Shoting every thing you can. Don't miss one little turret. Then, you'll come out of Route Tube for a brief moment to fight a few Mobile Suits. Can't use the Multi-Shot Technique here because it's too crowded, so just kill each Mobile Suit one-by-one until they are all gone. Go through Route Tube one last time and take out every thing you can and end the Mission. Score: 405,220 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 440,220 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 8------------------------------- Stage 1 You will start by going through a Route Tube.Multi-Shot Technique everything, even if it is one Mobile Suit. After you come up on a Musai and destroy it and Redestroy it, you'll shortly come to a Chivvay. Multi-Shot the Chivvay, but right after the Chivvay is another Musai. Use your Special on it, because if you use Multi-Shot on it you'll miss it. Run through the rest of the Mission Multi-Shoting every thing you can. You'll come under the side of another Musai chasing Char, but you won't be able to blow it up in time since it blows it self up. You'll come out of Route Tube to a Chivvay. The target arrow will point a different direction, but Multi-Shot, destroy it, and Redestroy it for some points. Go after each target and Multi-Shot it and Redestroy it, but make sure to take the time to take out every Mobile Suit there is before each target with Multi-Shot. Once all target are gone, take care of the rest of the remaining Mobile Suits with the Multi-Shot Technique. Be fast. You can try to use Beam Saber, but when he rolls he rolls so far and knocks you back so far he will get a few good hits on you by the time you get to him to slice and dice. Multi-Shot will take care of the bridge turrets and a little of the engines, but you must manually aim to get the rest of the Engines and nose. Once the Mobile Suits come, stop playing with the Musai and use Multi-Shot Technique to kill. When Ford says to make the Padzocks "shut up first", take out the Padzocks before the Musai. Once done with the Padzocks and enemy reinforcements, cripple the Musai as always destroy it for the win. Redestroy does not work here, since the Musais completely blow up. This Mission determines weather or not you go to the <What-If> Missions, which are needed to be accessed for unlocking specific items. To go to the <What-If> Missions, you need to Rank an A or higher. To Rank an A or higher, continue reading. to continue on to the original Missions, just survive by following the same steps that are needed to take in order of getting an A or higher, but cut back on the crucial parts. OK? Now, many people say it involves Luce's health meter and such, but they are all wrong. The key is the Multi-Shot Technique. So, forget every thing else in the Mission and concentrate on the enemy. Use the Multi-Shot Technique and make sure to lock on and hit them all. It is crucial that you hit them all. I recommend on the fourth wave you stand by G04 and wait for them to come out of hiding, and then act as a human shield to block their fire, since for some reason the fourth wave does the most damage. You most use the Multi-Shot Technique fast and thoroughly. Check Point Score: 107,000 Stage 2 OK, here is the most hardest part of all. Use the Multi-Shot Technique on this Stage too. You must be 80% with this technique, so that means there is very little margin for error. Most of the waves must all be shot down at once. You must also do this fast and very thoroughly. If you do it right, you will end with a score at the top of your screen like the one below. If it is any lower you are highly unlikely to get an A or S. So, the Bonus is the only thing that separates you from an A to an S. Good luck. You start off facing a Musai and a K?empfer. Use the Multi-Shot Technique to take out the Musai and K?empfer. Usually, the Musai will die before the K?empfer, so to kill it off really fast use two or three Specials. When he rolls just lock back on him, shooting the whole time. After that, you need to protect the Thoroughbred from the other Mobile Suits. To do this, I recommend you take them out as fast as possible using the boost, shoot them to hell, and if not dead yet use your Beam Saber. If you do this fast you should have killed every body before the Musai carrying the HLV even comes close to the Thoroughbred. Now, to get an A or S you must dissect it before killing it. So, first destroy the HLV on it's underside. Then take out the engines to "stop" the Musai which is what the Commander tells you to do. After that, dissect it of its turrets, nose, and bridge. Finally, destroy the Musai to end the Mission. Right before it faces you start using your Special and keep using it to the last bar. If it rolls re-lock on and continue to use Special. It should die by the time it comes point-blank with your Gundam. Hold square and get ready to shoot down a couple missiles before they hit the Thoroughbred and them you'll come out of Route Tube. Once out of Route Tube, there will be a set of three Mobile Suits in front of you. Use the Multi-Shot Technique to take out these three as well as the two that come from behind the original three and head strait for the target. Use Multi-Shot to take out both Musais so you get that extra turret point. Now, head back to the Thoroughbred and use the fast killing tactic and take out as many Mobile Suits as you possibly can. You must locked on and killing an enemy the whole Stage, so if there is a point in time you press L1 and no one is there, boost back to the ship and keeping pressing L1 and eventually you'll find some one. I usually don't like to hit the Retry button, but it is necessary if you want to complete the whole Mission since it gives you full health. Now, if you just want the simple ending, don't Retry and just die right there, but if you want the other ending, select Retry now for full health. First things first, go after the two Gelgoog J?gers and forget about the Mobile Armor. It might be tough, but you must kill both J?gers as fast as you can and with some health left. After they are gone (and they are a big pain) go after the Mobile Armor using the chase technique you used in Mission 5 of Thoroughbred. This Bigro is tougher, so it will take a few "charging bull attacks and chases to destroy it. After the Mobile Armor, it's back to the tactics of Stage 1 were you boost and shoot and kill like crazy. The enemy may seem endless, but they aren't, so keep at them. Another Mobile Armor should appear again, try your hardest to kill it with some health so you can deal with the last of the enemy Mobile Suits. It's tough, but it's possible. This Mission takes a big amount of skill, so it may take a couple of tries before you can beat it, unless you are some what pro. Once I got the idea of how to actually finish this Mission (because it looks like you finish it if you Fail, but you don't realize that you have zero health) it took me two tries, which in my case is a very hard Mission. There are at least two Ships you can destroy here, but can't Redestroy. Once you feel you've got every thing, trick Gato into getting hit be your Special. It is a one-hit kill on his Mobile Armor every time. An easy way to hitting him is to fire the Special at him knowing he will roll, and as soon you can lock on to him again use your Special again and he will let it hit him. It should be pretty easy. If there is only one Mobile Suit on your screen, just shoot it down with the Beam Cannon. When Cima comes just try to ignore her until you have shot every thing down. Using the Multi-Shot Technique will keep her off of you. Check Point Score: 170,000 Stage 2 This is simple. Just trick Gato into using your Special. It is almost a one-hit kill and will help you take him out really fast. Be fast and if you can Redestroy a Ship, Redestroy it. Once you get to the last Ship, leave it and Focus on the enemy Mobile Suits. Take out every Mobile Suit before the you take out the last Salamis to end to Mission. In the end, it's all about how many Mobile SUits you have shot down before you end it. Try your best to get the fleeing Balls too. If there is just one Mobile Suit on your screen kill it as fast as possible by boosting at it and shooting at it like a mad man. Just get as many points as you can. Check Point Score: 140,000 Stage 2 In this Stage use the Multi-Shot Technique on every thing. You can Redestroy the Magellans too. Also be sure to get the fleeing Publics and such. What you can do is take out all the Ships as fast as you can before they leave the area and it will let you take out the rest of the Mobile Suits before ending the Mission. When there is only one Mobile Suit on your screen just kill it as fast as you can. If you use the Multi-Shot Technique enough you should be able to survive the Mission. Score: 275,110 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 310,110 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 3------------------------------- Stage 1 In this Stage keep pressing L1 and when you eventually lock on to some body shoot them down as fast as possible. Just try your best to take out every thing. When Caruis makes Gato go to Solomon start emptying you vulcan so you have fresh ammo. Now that you have fresh ammo, start destroying as many Ships as you possibly can. This is were you get all the points. Check Point Score: 100,000 Stage 2 This is a simple Stage. Just keep attacking with the Beam Saber. If he rolls, you roll and lock right back on him and attack again and again. Eventually you will break his shield and get that extra shield-break point. He's not to hard if you keep attacking. In between destroying, and if possible, Redestorying Ships kill as many Mobile Suits as fast as possible. Just keep doing the Multi-Shot Technique until every thing is dead. Be fast. Check Point Score: 160,000 Stage 2 In this Stage just keep shooting like mad. Use your Special as much as possible too. I don't see why any one can't beat this, it seems his missiles don't any damage at all either. Score: 162,680 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 197,680 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 5------------------------------- Stage 1 First what you want to do is take out a couple of enemies with the Multi-Shot Technique. Once they seem to stop coming, destroy and Redestroy each Ship until Cima betrays you. Then, continue to take out every Mobile Suit with the Multi-Shot Technique. There are three Control Ships which basically are a Salamis and a Columbus. Take out the first two Control Ships and the third Control Ship's Salamis. Then, keep attacking the enemy until there are about ten seconds to go. Take out the Columbus to finish the Stage in the knick of time. Multi-Shot Technique should keep you in the game. Check Point Score: 172,000 Stage 2 This Mission is all so easy. Just stand there shooting like mad and use your Special when ever you can. That's all. What counts is how many you shoot down to get that A or S. Remember to destroy and Redestroy all the Ships as well. It's all about killing stuff. Score: 50,100 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 85,100 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 2------------------------------- Stage 1 The key to getting a high Rank in this is speed and shield points. On every Mobile Suit start off by shooting madly until their shield is destroyed. Then, slash them down, rolling when they roll and locking right back on to slash some more. Just destroy every one's shield and them once their shield goes to easily beat the Mission. That's it. Score: 2,900 Bonus: 35,000 Total: 37,900 Rank: S -------------------------------Mission 3------------------------------- Stage 1 OK, to get the ending that I find most people are missing just stand their and die, that's it. But if you are after the A or S, read the following. First just destroy all the Mobile Suits as fast as you can before your Marines do. Leave the GP03 alone too. Just shoot madly at each Mobile Suit until you finally get close enough to kill it with your Beam Saber. Also, if you can destroy Delaz Musais before the GP03 does that counts as some big bonus points. Redestroy them too. Once you've killed every thing and enemies stop coming, kill the GP03. After it does its "charging bull attack", chase it and shoot madly at it. Also try to trick it into getting hit by your Special for a faster kill. It's all about killing as many Mobile Suits and Ships before the GP03. They each cost 150 points and their GP04 Beam Rifle is 0. So, they have two chances to take me out (which they never do) with a pretty good Mobile Suit. I don't have the J?ger yet, so I put him in the Matsunaga Custom J?ger and they are OK. I still beat it and isn't that much of a challenge, but it maybe be for some people. I do it occasionally when I'm bored...
