Coming from the same developer, From Software, Armored Core: Project Phantasma isn't a true sequel to last year's game; rather, it's what's known in PC gaming circles as an expansion pack ? only you don't need to own the original game to play this one.
In addition to 17 all-new missions, you can expect to see countless new Armored Core (mech) parts, and, better yet, a newly-added human versus CPU deathmatch in addition to the returning split-screen two player mode. At any time during the game, you'll be able to go head-to-head against any one of the top 50 ranked AI players in one of 13 new arenas.
As in the original Armored Core, you'll get credits for each mission that is successfully completed, which, in turn, can be used to buy parts to trick out your mech. New arms, legs, torsos, engines, and weapons are just some of the additions which can be purchased.
Packed to the rafters with new missions and mech expansion possibilities, Armored Core: Project Phantasma appears a must-have for fans of the original game. We'll give you the full skinny when the game hits stores this October.
